How often do we think about the packaging our food comes in and whether it is harmless, or indeed dangerous? And how could we know either way? Do we even imagine how much science there is in a single polyethylene bag? Industrial chemist and Director of Research at the Institute of Polymers, Biomaterials and Composites at the NRC of Italy, Dr. Sossio Cimmino will convince us how important packaging is for the preservation and quality of our food. We will find out how polymers are designed and produced especially for the food industry. Dr. Cimmino will share the latest results obtained in his research group.
